InterContinental Hotels & Resorts Responsible Business Toolkits 2010-2012

General Manager Toolkit to promote InterContinental Hotels & Resorts’ global Responsible Business initiative. The scheme
launched in 2010 in association with National Geographic and later also partnered with UNESCO in 2012. The toolkit supports the hotels in launching their own schemes and encourages them to share their Responsible Business ideas and events via the campaign microsite. 

The initial toolkits developed were predominately print based featuring posters and booklets with CDs including digital media, plus the inclusion of a 'Pip' the penguin mascot in 2011. The scheme was so successful in the first year, that the 'Responsible Business Day' became a whole week of activity in later years.

2012 saw the introduction of a video based toolkit to inspire General Manager’s and hotel staff to get involved in their Responsible Business Week. When opened, the videopak mailer played a short film featuring an interview from their Vice Chairman, followed by beautiful and dramatic shots of UNESCO World Heritage sites around the world, highlighting the
importance of ‘responsible’ actions to preserve such wonders.
